Chevy Malibu Maxx AC / Heater Fan problems

The first thing I noticed was the fan would not turn off. It wouldnt turn off using the knobs or even once the keys were out of the ignition. Then when getting back in the car, the fan would be off and wouldnt come back on. It is hit and miss weather it comes on and stays on or wont come on at all.
