The left and right passengers have to share one lumbar control?

Are those switches for adjusting the passenger front seat? While I can see the desire for this if you're being chauffeured and would like to stretch out, I could see them becoming a problem in a hurry. Two prime examples would be young children, who are prone to press any button they can reach, or a mischievous friend who may be bitter about not getting 'shotgun'.
