I got my 98 Intrigue GL in April and didn't start driving it until July. Its been running fine for the most part. The lower intake gasket was replaced after I got it and i haven't had too many issues with it since. However, when I'm out and about, the engine temp starts to rise if i'm driving enough. to combat it, I crank the heater on blast and roll the windows down. if the engine starts to get too warm despite the heater running, my rpm's kind of lob on me and the car struggles to get up to speed and it won't accelerate smoothly. I took to it autozone so they could run their computer on my car and they say that it is a Crankshaft Position Sensor. Is this something i can just pick up the parts and DIY it in a parking lot? (I live in an apartment complex.) Also, I would think with the rising engine temp, my thermostat probably needs to be replaced too correct? Just looking for some advice/ feedback.
