Edmunds thinks it has found the reason for the tire rub on its long-term 2014 Ram 1500 EcoDiesel pickup truck. Electrical wiring is pushing the fender liner out of position.

    Its called Chrysler build quality......same old problem that has hurt Chrysler for decades. Awesome designs let down by poor production standards. Some things never change.

    If it's a build quality issue then a few random trucks will have this issue. However I bet all trucks with the diesel engine will do this since Chrysler did not want to make a specific fender liner for diesel equipped trucks to accommodate the harness.
