    So TPMS is great, but it can't issue a warning if the car isn't being driven as the air slowly oozes out.
    Put more succinctly, "TPMS won't issue a warning if nobody is around to read it."

    I had two flats this summer. The TPMP saved me a lot of hassle on the second one, but the first flat went down too fast for me to be able to do a U-Turn and drive the ~3 miles back to the nearest town.

    If a TPMS goes off and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound? :)

    I still greatly prefer the systems that actually tell you the current pressure rather than just a warning when it has dropped below a set point. A 25% drop means if the stock pressure is 32 it has to drop to 24 before you get a warning. If a system cycled through showing you the pressure each time you started the car you might have noticed that it was dropping to 31 then 30 then 29 over the days before you left.
    Plus a more subtle warning could be issued at a far smaller pressure drop. I've had a few alerts with our cars that don't tell the pressure and it is never fun wondering if it is dropping quickly or just settled to right below the cutoff when driving in the wrong place to pull over and check.

    Doesn't your Rogue have the TPMS that shows current pressure in each tire? Mine does. Not that it would help in this situation, but if the last driver had checked before leaving the vehicle, may have been a warning of the tire being significantly lower.
