Help Needed: My 2013 Nissan Altima just crossed 10K mi and still no maintenance reminder on display?

I bought 2013 Nissan Altima just about the same time last year and crossed 10,000 miles mark couple of days ago. So far I have not done any service on this vehicle and never received any maintenance reminder on display.

Should I really need to worry and take my car to the dealership or just wait for the reminder to show up on display?

I never had this type of weird situation in the past as I always got reminder within first 5000 to 7500 miles on my previous new vehicles.

Are you sure that your car has a maintenance reminder system? Check your owners manual, if it is the same as what is listed in Mitchell On Demand you should have serviced your car at 7500 miles based on schedule 2 (light duty) or 3750 miles schedule 1 (severe duty).

I am not aware of "Mitchell On Demand". It's 2013 Nissan Altima 2.5 SL and I am pretty sure it should have maintenance reminder, but it's just that I have never seen it on my display and never read manual to track this.

I guess I will just take it to the dealer for service next week just on a safe side even though I have not received any maintenance reminder on display.

Mitchell On Demand is a subscription based online service that repair shops use to access up to date service information. (Alldata is another one) I should have been able to find the reset procedure for your car that needs to be done when the oil is changed if your car actually has a system. FWIW I didn't find one, which on one is somewhat suggestive, but maybe a future update will add that information if applicable .

Check your driver information center located on the dash between the speedometer and tach. There is a setting there that allows you to set maintenance minders for service, tires and at least one other parameter of your choice. The setting may not correspond with the actual service interval. I would suggest getting your car serviced (no need to take it to the dealer unless they have a special going on) and resetting the maintenance interval to the the factory recommended one. It is very easy. If you don't know how, read the owner's manual. Too many people don't and miss a lot of very important and helpful information.
