    I guess I'm struggling to come up with any other reason for them doing it.
  • As the Macan manual makes references to race track use, its wheel arrangement makes sense.
    Will Porsche sponsor local Track_A_Macan days?
  • BMW has been doing this for years on the X5. It's a better idea with summer tires rather than all-seasons (summers are no-charge on the Macan). On track, it's for more grip and neutral handling. On the road, it generates some necessary terminal understeer for safety.
