Re Takata Airbags

What I've yet to hear about Takata airbags is this: Were there design changes made after a certain date that insured that future Takata airbags would not explode?

Or is there a chance that my new 2014 Honda Civic might yet be recalled?

New info: One "financial" web site I just saw says that "Nearly 50% of Honda cars rolled out in 2014 had Takata airbags fitted in them"

So far, no Honda later than 2011 is affected per this CBS story, and no Civics since 2005. But it's still early days yet, even though this isn't the first Honda/Takata airbag recall.

Thanks for info Stever. Both of your links seem to indicate that there are no answers yet to my original questions. I'm afraid the worst is yet to come.

My guess is that Honda (or Takata or the other car makers) will try to limit the recall to owners in the "humid" states, at least initially. I don't think there's enough capacity to replace just the Honda ones at this point, much less all the millions of Takata airbags out there that may potentially have a problem.

Stever, can I give you a Yes vote without killing this line of questioning?

Thanks but why don't you wait and maybe we can get some other people joining in.

Haven't had time to nose around much but it sounds like Tanaka may actually be on their third recall, for three different airbag issues.
