I've worked at home since '83 and for seven years in the 80's my wife and I shared one car. Saved a lot of money. When we upsized to a minivan we kept the old Tercel since it was cheap to own (it was in the stable for 17 years). We recently relocated and dumped the spare "snow" car so we've been sharing the one car for the last six months. I wouldn't mind a fun car in the garage but not because a second car is necessary.
