S-Line is between Audi's normal models and the S models, not the RS models. Not that I am in the market but I would pass on S-Line, F-Sport and now AMG Sport.

Unlike the "AMG sport" lines, the Audi S lines are special vehicles. They come with engine/suspension/transmission offerings that are not available on the regular model lines.

It's not just a package that you can add on to any existing model line...

If they deliver AMG handling with satisfactory engines and better MPG, I would definitely consider them, especially if the look is not too jazzed up.

I was referring to the Audi "S Line" models. I certainly agree about Audi's S models as an S4 owner. Was referring to, for example, the A4 S-Line.

There are less intense M-package BMWs, too - along with Lexus "F-Sport". MB marketers must have found profits can be had by mild versions of tuned cars. C450 might be interesting, I think that will be something like 370hp - more than an E55 AMG of days past.

Audi S-line seems even more mild than these - the normal S cars aren't painfully intense, RS is where it's at.

Current Audi S cars are less intense now certainly. My 2005 S4 was back when the S models competed with M3 and C55 AMG. Problem is the RS models do not have manual transmissions anymore...
