i have a 2000 chevy Silverado and after starting it I put it in reverse and it seemed to have lost idle and it died on me, so I started it once again and I reved it and went and it seemed to have been running fine since, any ideas on why it did that or anyone else have this problem?

Was the engine cold when you did this, or normal op temp?

Could be dirty mass air flow (MAF) sensor or moisture under ignition wires/cap, Cold be a lose electrical connection with condensation inside from sitting overnight. Check 'em all.
