You didn't mention where the wind noise is coming from, but my dealer warned me of some possible wind noise coming from the roof rack before i even drove my TB off the lot.

He suggested moving the roof rack cross bars further back. I moved 'em *all* the way back. I like the way they look with both bars all the way back, and i haven't had any problems with wind noise.

(I've also seen where quite a few owners are removing the cross bars altogether.)

    Hope this helps.

I think the TB cabin is very quiet, however, I think the wind noise is excessive with the sun roof open. The built in air deflector seems like it is too small and I think it would be more effective without the holes in it. I expected some wind noise but it seems excessive. Does anyone else think the sunroof is particularly noisy and the design could be a little better?

Sorry, dont have one on my Trailblazer =o( wasnt lucky enough(actually, just didnt want to spend the money)I have had them on other vehicles, including the Civic, and Camry. IMHO, all sunroofs are noisy esp. at highway speeds, but I have noticed that the camry's sunroof was louder than my civic's maybe due to the deflector on it, not sure. might want to see if the deflector can be held down see if it makes any difference. just a thought

    Thanks Tblazer,

When I reach up and hold down the deflector at speed I lose the heavy wind noise but gain a very annoying buffeting sound in the cabin from the wind. Oh well, I guess I will get used to it, it has been a while since I have had a sunroof. I still like having it.

i installed a smoked sunroof wind deflector on my TB...*huge* difference!....i can now drive around town at 40-50 mph with the top open and still carry on conversation in the cabin......before i installed the deflector, i never used the sunroof.

and for $40-$50, you're not out much if you give it a whirl and don't like it.

Can you give us more information about what "smoked sunroof deflector" you put on? Where did you get it and are there pictures on web site somewhere?

I purchased a 'Windflector' brand deflector from BestDarnParts.com...(easy to do business with, free shipping, and it arrived in 2 days)... they've got some good, but generic pictures (i.e. not trailblazer pics) ....i also looked at AutoVentShade deflectors, but chose Windflector brand because it installs with 3M adhesive tape, rather than clips/screws/etc.

couldn't be happier with the purchase. i'll be curious to hear what your own research turns up.
