This is exactly why the popularity of 3-row SUVs baffles me. People don't want to drive minivans because they aren't "cool". What's cool about subjecting two of your friends to claustrophobia-inducing seating for more than a 5-mile trip? The American car-buying public are a baffling bunch.

Yeah, I could have taken 5 friends in my minivan and had plenty of room in the back for a couple of bushels of apples.

Of course, since I drive a minivan, I don't have five friends....
