Should I buy?...2003 Honda Civic Hybrid IMA Light on.

I am new here hoping to get advice on buying a Honda Civic Hybrid. They were selling for $3,000 but I talked them down to $2500. It has 169,000 miles on it and the owner has been driving it for the last year with the IMA light on without any issues. I know that I will eventually have to replace the IMA battery, but is it worth buying it at this price despite the obvious red flag that the battery will need to be replaced? Overall it is in good condition with the normal wear and tear of a ten year old car and gets an average of 45mpg. Is it worth it? Thanks!
