Clock - '04 XC70

What would cause the clock in our 2004 XC70 to change on its own and to race through time upon starting?

    I'm guessing you're not the person I remember who had the same problem with a 2004 XC70 on Car Talk

    (We have done a LOT of Sat morning driving to Car Talk...LOL)

    My first instinct was that something with the clock went south, and Click and Clack (RIP Tom Magliozzi) would seem to verify that, along with the bad news that the clock is part of the instrument cluster. Hopefully the clock is not a harbinger of an impending larger issue with the cluster.
