Useful comparison. I (of small stature) found Evoque to be cramped inside front and back and a bear to see out of. Macan's roomier front thankfully avoids gigantic center console Audi, BMW and most other euros love, but the sea of buttons gives pause to managing the car while driving and driver's seat bottom felt like a pair of balloons. Some other Macan reports remarked how 22" wheels (options?) hurt the ride, and another commented the dynamic control can be overly aggressive (fixed in Edmunds long term tester?). Macan sounds expensive to buy and to run, and there are few Porsche dealers, but will those concerns matter for Macan's projected buyers? Nah.

I own a 2013 Evoque Dynamic, fully loaded. While I still love the way it looks, I will never own another Jaguar/Land Rover vehicle again. In ten years of owning my Audi, I've had to visit the dealer because of only two defects. With the Range Rover, it's constant. I'm over this brand forever.

new Evoque is a very beautiful car, but it is just not reliable, so Porsche is way ahead as a customers choice. know that, because friends have these cars, but one is satisfied and happy, the other lives at the dealer)

I'd choose the Evoque. I am such a fan of Land Rovers. Hoping to save up for one in the future. A second hand will do.
