The most significant suspect to the future of the Nissan Leaf is the lack of commitment by Nissan dealers to install and make available to Leaf purchasers CHAdeMO charge stations. Most do have a single level-II J1772 charge station available with a hit or miss availability. However, who wants to wait hours for a recharge. This lack of commitment/support to the Leaf's basic need will result in the final demise and loss of marketing opportunity to the market competitors as higher capacity batteries, now rapidly emerging, lessen the dependency on frequent recharging.
