    I've got a 2006 A4 Cabriolet with on 18,000 miles on it and my Audi dealer says it needs new brakes in the rear - cost $700. I've been quoted by an independent mechanic who says I will need new rotors because the Audi rotors just wear in a way that they can not be turned. Still - his quote is $375. Then there's the "discount" shop (meinike) who says it will cost $300. There's no way I'm going to get my brakes done at Audi - but does it sound right the rotors need to be replaced with each brake job?
