Thanks for any input,

Higher mpg does happen, last summer my wife (a lead footer) followed me (in a slow motorhome) and she got 34 mpg, which was rare for our GT. On no other long trip did our PT do that good. but never before was constrained to the speeds of a motorhome.

My window has not blowing out but it is about ready to fall out. The glue holding it in place is not doing its job. Mine wasn't the right but the left rear window. Same thing as you, there was no evidence of a break in. Out of curiosity where did you get your car. I got mine in AZ.
Any thoughts??
Thanks for your response.
The mechanic said that they have had numerous complaints on Chrysler cars with this exact same problem and that is why they are starting to refuse working on them so they are not liable - I guess.
I too could use some insight.

The oil changer that stripped your pan should pay for the replacement. If you change shops regularly, that can be hard to prove. If Walmart did all your changes, take in your receipts, talk to the manager, and they should, with little prodding, replace your oil pan for you. Or at least rethread the pan.
Yes, the drain valves work (Futamoto is the one I recollect, Fram seems out of the business now) so long as the mechanic doesn't screw it out to drain the oil faster (or not understand how to use it).
If they save your oil pan by using an insert, the drain bolt size might change, so be sure to know what the new size is.
Ironically after Walmart fixes the drain plug, it's probably best to keep going back to them - in case they mess it up again, they'll be responsible for replacing the oil pan since you can rethread more than once, as I understand. If another shop has a problem, they'll blame it on Walmart's repair.
Help Please :P

I found your message on the web as I have experienced the very same thing on my cruiser for the last 2 nights. It's strange how it only goes off during the early hours (and at the same time!?!?!), yet during the day it is OK. I was wondering if your in-laws had now remedied the problem and if they have, what was causing the problem and could let me know, so that I might get some sleep this weekend!!
I thank you in advance for some help!!!
Best regards, Linda Godleman
I am negotiating for a new 2006 Limited which comes standard with the 16" "aluminum" wheels. If I get the optional 28G package, that includes the aluminum "chrome clad" wheels .
My question is...has this problem been resolved?? as there does not seem to be any complaints for the newer models!!!!

Then I realized that my large snow brush which was on my backseat had fallen forward and was pressing down on the middle back seat window switch. Since they are down near the floor, I imagine this can happen easily if something heavy enough leans off the back seat.
Of course, if that is not your situation, you might have a faulty switch somewhere.
Just a thought.
she started her car, and the rear drivers side window came down on its own and will not go back up!
That's not much for a car that's a 2002.
