Water Pump Problems - '08 Escape

Mu 2008 Escape 3.0 has 90,000 miles on it. I just had to have the water pump replaced. Is this unusual at this mileage? Do I have a lemon?

I would not consider 90K miles and 9 year old water pump a lemon in any manner shape or form

thanks-that is what I was thinking. Would my rear brake shoes be ready to replace at 90,000?
