Electrical problems from hell.. -'03 Tahoe

I recently bought a 2003 Tahoe. I knew the BCM(Body Control Module) was bad. No big deal take it to the shop and get it repaired and replaced whatever. BUT NOW, I have a short somewhere and its really bugging me, thought it was a bad battery replaced it, I have since replaced the starter, the battery again and the alternator. How hard is it to replace the positive and negative battery cables? Are they expensive, YES the dealer seems to be the only one that carries them but are they hard to replace? I'm tried of throwing parts on it and not fixing the problem.
