Bluetooth pairing failures are annoying. I've had pairing failure scares with my own Uconnect system, but they were always cured by rebooting my phone rather than the car.

There is one point here that needs addressed. In the past disconnecting the battery and clearing everything was a good idea and fixed a lot of issues. With newer cars that is actually a bad idea and should only be done if there is no other choice as there can be dozens of relearns that must be performed after a full loss of power. If you must de-power anything try and only do an individual system such as the radio in this case, or just a portion of the vehicle that is being serviced. Even then some relearns are only done efficiently with the support of a full O.E. scan tool.

Will one of those 9 volt battery saver gizmos plugged into a power port be enough if you were going to spend 30 minutes doing a simple battery swap?
