Best sedan for a family car?
We are looking into getting an additional car that will be our main family car. We are a family of four.
I am preferring to get sedan, but I am open to all suggestions... We're not really looking for a van though.
The last family car we bought was used, low miles 40k, and it's a 2004 chevy classic. We didn't do much research.. we were able to talk them down to the right price, it included a warranty and free oil changes. Well... our car started having several issues and after research, apparently it wasn't just us. I can't even remember how many times it had broke down on us.
This time around I've been doing a ton of research. I need a really reliable car. The best ones I've learned about so far is a Honda Accord or Toyota Camry. They're supposed to go for a long time (my husband has a Toyota going solid still at 150k miles), and not have AS many issues.
Are there any others you would suggest that are reliable and not famous for too many issues or breaking after 100k miles?

If reliability is your top priority those two are good choices. Personally I prefer the Accord over the Camry. It looks and drives better IMHO. You can do better for higher cost though, like a Lexus ES. If you're on a budget you might be better off with something else though. Accords and Camrys command a higher price in the used market, and used cars are in short supply so you do not save all that much getting one that is 2 or 3 years old. If you don't have a new car sized budget you might be better off with something else since you would be able to get something newer with less miles on it. So what's your budget?
