So far my trunk opens 'big' if the button on the dash button is pushed but only barely more than clicks open with hands free. Fortunately it opens easy with an elbow nudge. Granted I live in the frozen north so who knows what will happen when/if it gets warm.

I hadn't enabled the "Smart Trunk" feature on my 2015 Genesis until reading this article. I went to the system menu and enabled the feature then walked 20 feet from the vehicle and then back to the vehicle trunk area. It immediately began to beep and flashed the tail light's 4 times and the trunk opened flawlessly to 100%. The weather conditions are a warm 88 degrees and the car is parked on a slight downward incline directly in the sun. This is just another fantastic feature on this car! i a. Extremely happy with the vehicle.

Re Hyundai's "Smart Trunk" feature.. I'm guessing the trunk will open automatically only on a LOCKED vehicle, and that on an unlocked vehicle the feature is defeated. Is that how it is designed to operate?
