T100 rear bumper; option or standard equipment

Did the 1996 t100 come with the rear bumper as a factory item or was it an option. I'm not sure if I should fail the vehicles inspection for missing the rear bumper. If the truck comes from the factory WITH a bumper and is no longer installed, the vehicle fails. Thoughts?

    When you appraise the T100 here, we show the bumper being an option (one rear bumper option, one chrome bumper option). Maybe a printout of the page would suffice to get you through inspection.
