Transmission problem

Hi I am new to this site and have been reading a few questions and responses and I have to say I like it a lot. My question is that I have a 2006 Dakota 4.7 L v8 4x4 and when I turn on the truck and put it in drive or reverse it doesn't move at all but the motor runs. Is there a sensor on the tranny that might have blown. I did blow a tranny line and lost my fluid but I noticed that when my truck didn't shift properly2 min after driving it. I immediately put it in neutral. There was no slipping at all. Any ideas????
