Interesting. My rig has 2,572 on the clock and the Oil Life is currently 29%. That puts the service interval around 3,675. Cold northeastern winters might have something to do with it.

That's the ugliest gauge cluster I've seen in a long time.

Agreed. There's simple and then there's plain. This is the latter.

The maintenance reminder system grades each trip based on factors that have an impact on oil life and extreme conditions will make it require service earlier than mild conditions. Some early systems were basically mileage counters and those proved unreliable for some owners.

It doesn't help that GM is apparently sticking with the same font for the gauges they've used since like 1980.

I'm also waiting for the day when a manufacturer uses the same font on the dials as they do on the LCD.

Here's something you rarely hear, "I like the styling, power and capability of that new vehicle, but I decided I can't live with that boring gauge cluster." No sale!

I agree it's not a deal breaker if everything else is good. But for something you stare at every day while driving, it would be nice to have something with a little more pizazz. My 2006 Acura's gauge cluster looks super high tech compared to this one.

Sometimes simple is better especially when you consider the chance that something may eventually go wrong.
