Anyone have experience installing Door Edge Guard for CRV?

I have 2015 CRV and I want to put the door edge guards(not the door edge FILM). i was looking at instructiong because I figured it was easy as hec. slide on that thats it, But you have to cut and need touch up paint? what the hec. that sucks, Dealership would probably in total charge close to $150 to buy/install those things.
