How do I diagnose a short in my guages?

I recently bought a Mazda B2200 Extended Cab 1986. It runs great but after I had the transmission rebuilt, the gas, temp, tach, and cruise control all stop working. I replaced a 10amp fuse that was blown labeled Meter and it blew again immediately. What would my next step be?
