    Buy hybrids when gas prices are low and save big.
    People wait until gas prices spike and then pay top dollar for them.

    Worst case scenario is gas prices stay low and you save even more money, not a bad worst case.

    Buy a guzzler now and pay a higher price because gas is low. Worst case gas goes up and you pay through the nose.
