    These consumer demands are why small cars seem expensive to many Americans. To many in the USA, small also mean decontented. The European market gave up on that idea long ago. More luxury bits in small cars will compress the price difference between them and classic mid sized cars. The cost of building a car is largely in time, not materials. It takes the same amount of time to fit luxuries to a small car as it does to a larger vehicle. In fact, the smaller package may mean it actually takes longer.
