I have a 2009 Malibu 4cyl. with 205000 miles, starting last summer at about 195000 miles it has developed an intermittent climate control issue. It will go on and off at will. Once it goes on it will work normally for an undetermined amount of time then without warning it will stop working, sometimes it will not come back after starting the car, other times it will stop while the car is operating. The fan motor has been replaced, and the computer module. (both used). When it is not working naturally none of the indicator lights work, however the rear window defroster does work. All the issues I have read deal with older Malibus hopefully someone can recommend a possible solution.

With the lights not working I might wonder if its the HVAC cluster that is the problem, perhaps just a bad connection
