I have a 07 Ford Five Hundred and this is the second time the keyless pad entry has not worked in a month. Any ideas the problem?

Sometimes the contacts corrode and make a "false push" like a button is sticking and of course sometimes they stop making contact. If you have a little time and you can work with the car, you can push one button at a time and watch to see if the interior lights and/or the keypad illumination react and turn on. If one of the buttons isn't working, that button won't turn the lights on while the other ones do.5
