    Nice.
The slalom results show the better balanced car.

Too bad you didn't take advantage and do a side-by-side dyno session while you had the car.

There is NOTHING like a V8

Agreed...but this is the kind of thing that they would save for another post, so...

I would say that the Ecoboost one sounds like it's a ECU flash update or two from being totally ready for prime time. That's not a fatal flaw, though.

Seems like the Ecoboost is a bit expensive for what your getting.
What's missing here is any reference to the V6. I know it's not the V8. And I know it's not new. But the V6 got really good reviews in the last generation Mustang. I have a feeling it would negate many of the criticisms above with regard to the Ecoboost. I would also bet that it gets better fuel economy in real world driving (although not on the EPA test cycle which is the raison d'etre of the entire ecoboost lineup).

+1 legacygt - I was expected a comparison to the V6 (the "base" Mustang). No surprise here, the GT is faster, more fun. I'm wondering about the V6 vs. the ecoboost.

The V-6 can't be optioned with the premium level equipment or a performance package. It's a rental-car special as delivered from the factory. But the aftermarket can do a lot for this model as well.

Oh, okay. But it still would be interesting to see what the 'bargain' Mustang would do. Pre-ecoboost it did quite well on some tests.
