Trouble saving custom settings on stock 06' Torrent Stereo

Hello, my name is Brett. I am brand new on this site.

I own a 2006 Pontiac Torrent and I have tried to adjust and save custom audio settings numerous times. But they never save. I followed the owners manuals instructions. It seems like every station has a different "Tone" setting (Pop, Rock, Jazz, etc) I just want to customize and save my own settings and have all the stations keep the same tone. Am I missing something here? lol. Please Help!

    IIRC on my 03 leSabre radio after setting the custom adjustments for a station, I had to
    hold the station button again to set the station in that memory slot with its custom settings.
    I don't believe there was a way to set all stations with a universal custom setting.
