We've had the 2015 Ford Transit Connect XL 2.5L I4 SWB (Cargo) for a little less than a month.. We drive on average 37 miles a day, slightly more over the weekend. Current mileage is setting at just over 775 miles. I've very surprise at how well and comfortable this little van is. The only thing that concerns me and I've been keeping a watch on this.. is that I've never had a front wheel drive vehicle before, and the front tires seem rather low, Granted this is where the engine and drive train is located.. I was expecting a bit more out of these tires.. because the suspension seems fair enough to withstand nearly any type of road condition.
The tires are Continental radials and the Transit has the TPMS installed.. It even has the Nitrogen valve steam caps as a warning.. and after checking the PSI, it is within the recommended range of 41 front 45 rear. Although we are going to up the tires in a few months more durable and more of a load rating, including Alloy wheels.. I just don't like seeing the current tires bulge as they do.. Just seems to be a mismatch of tires or load ratings.
