Airbag Light

Hello all,

I had a question regarding the airbag light on my 2005 Elantra. The dashboard airbag light came on and according to my mechanic it is because of the passenger side occupancy sensor. He tried to order a replacement used seat, but the seat he got showed the same problem. The light stayed on even with the new seat. It is possible that the used seat's sensor is also broken. I was going to take it to the Hyundai dealership, but they charge $125 for diagnostic. Any suggestions as to what we could do to make the light go off? Thanks.

-I need the light off for VA state inspection.
