Rear Hatch Release

The rear hatch on my 2007 Yukon XL SLT will no longer release. Window Glass however does release with remote. I would assume that this is a safety hazard as I have the 3rd row seats and the hatch cannot be opened from the inside of the vehicle.
Does GM have a bulletin on this issue?
