    I know the M235i coupe pumps manufactured engine sound through the speakers. Is that what you are hearing on the convertible as well?

    I'm not fond of the idea of engine playback through the speakers. It's more honest to have that guy from Police Academy (Michael Winslow) sitting in the back seat making engine noise.

    For example: fast forward to 2 min 9 sec if the link doesn't do it. (otherwise the whole thing is funny...)

    LOL on the Police Academy clip - classic!!! it's frankly a ridiculous idea to channel artificial sound. I think they should release the engine note of a Spitfire while they are about it.

    If BMW didnt start this trend (but an American car), the press would be all over this. Unfortunately, because BMW did - its now being adopted by all.
