Change center console accessory outlet to ignition-on only, Mazda3 S GT

When tech/nav package is installed you lose the dashboard accessory outlet that is only on when the ignition is on, and are left with just the accessory outlet in the center console that is "on" all the time. It seems like it would be a simple matter to re-wire it so it would turn off with the ignition, but the dealer won't do it. Anyone solve this?
