Need Chevette year of mfg. from engine serial number.

I have a kit car using a Chevette powertrain. I don't have a VIN to establish the year of manufacture for inspection purposes. Both the engine and THM180 transmission show serial number 1BY250505. Can anyone point me in the right direction to identify the year of manufacture of the powertrain? Thanks much.
