    I briefly had a Mazdaspeed 6 that had also bad steering wheel controls, so I feel your pain. Don't just throw buttons on the wheel - ask people to test pre-production steering wheels and see what their feedback is.
  • I primarily use the steering wheel buttons for volume also. This would annoy the hell out of me.

    This has been a Nissan standard for years. It's awful and I'm sure the only reason they haven't changed it is for "consistency".
  • Being considerably lighter trim pieces, it looks like they would get grimy and show dirt pretty quickly too.
