Just went through a major headache with American Honda Corporation trying to get them to recognize their design flaws on pre-2016 Pilot brake rotors and wear bushings found all over the Honda boards.

Condition: Steering column shakes when apply medium brake pressure 45-65 mph. Started at 33,000 miles, still happening at 38,000. Tired of unsafe feeling so went to repair.
Dealer (Multiple) say, yes this is common but considered wear, not covered under warranty or service.
Brake pads rated at 7 (of 10) for wear. Have 25k-40,000 miles remaining.. Rotor in great condition in terms of useful life but warped.

Added bonus, wear bushings leaked around 24,000, brought to dealer and they didn't find issue in 2014. This week, dealer found issue while looking at brakes but not under warranty. luckily have extended warranty, otherwise not covered,

End story - Honda is more like an old BMW in terms of reliability vs Honda/Toyota.

I'm done with Honda. Will not buy again.

This seems to be the problem with new car "warranties" it never seems to cover what you need. My condolences.

What exactly are "wear bushings"? Never heard that term before.
