My pickup's reverse lights stopped working one day. I replaced the bulbs and still nothing. I have a new switch coming. But i don't know if i can get to it from the inside under the rubber boat, or do I have to crawl under the truck? Also if under the truck do I need special tools to get it out?

its probably on the transmission itself, under the vehicle,
and probably looks like a nut that screws on there, gotta be a wire leading to it. google ns66 backup switch to see what it might look like. you probably don't need special tools but be gentle torquing and avoid shearing impacts removing the old part - it is a more delicate part than it looks like.
