    You think the side pipes are hot? Imagine that hot exhaust routed right under your butt. Much more heat in the cabin.

    Another minor note: the link for the Museum of Flight is rightfully the one at Boeing Field in Seattle. The one in Santa Monica is named the Museum of Flying.

    Good to hear the tires worked fine. Folks used them all time in the '60s without crashing, the fears of some posters seem to be way overblown.
