2007 Tahoe 4WD - 5.3L - Driver's brake line being struck by sway bar links

Discovered today that BOTH driver and passenger side sway bar links were broken from the lower control arm side. On the Driver's side I could see "scarring" marks from the top of the link bolt hitting. I bought new links (OEM) and installed them... I "colored" in the marks on the brake line (the bracket part directly above the bolt) and took a test drive. The new bolt is hitting the line.

Passenger side bracket for the brake line is mounted further up and back on the upper control arm...where the driver's side is not. This vehicle is ALL OEM and no modifications made. The OEM links used were from the dealer. I have a friend with a 2009 Suburban and crawled under his to see if the bracket and line were in a different location...they were not...and his OEM sway bar link on that side is also hitting the brake line hard enough to put deep scars into it.

If I could post pictures here I would. My question is this.... I have searched all over to see if there is a recall for this but found nothing. I have not found any similar issues either. To me this is a pretty serious problem as it could eventually break through to the brake line.

Any info or similar issues would be greatly appreciated. I would like to know if GM has anything on this before I crawl under and find a way to relocate the bracket and move the line away from the moving suspension parts.
