    ^^^I don't know, but I often have kids in the car, and I'd never consider a Mini or Fiesta ST for that reason alone. Otherwise, I might want the FiST.

    Seriously, there's no need for the passenger seat to have been slid so far back. That's cruelty.

    a) slide the front seat forward, b) that headrest was there for a reason, c) seems like a perfect fit to me.

    I once rode in the back seat of a Ford Probe to the airport. Now THAT was ridiculous. The roof was below my eye level, with my head resting against the hatchback window. And no headrest whatever.

    A lot of these articles on Edmunds are the same, and remind me of the O.J. trial: the glove don't fit!

    Examples:
    A) Bags don't fit in the back. Solution: fold back seats down flat, like you're supposed to.

    B) Kid has no legroom. Solution: learn how to operate seat. Seats have mechanical position memory, if you read manual. Pull lever on back, lean backrest forward, slide seat forward. Seat kid, slide seat back, allowing for legs, then return seat back to previous angle. Voilà.

    C) Bike doesn't fit. Solution: buy bike rack, or take off wheel. Duh!

    D) Car seat doesn't fit. Solution: buy one that does.

    E) We went on a road trip and couldn't figure out how to connect our phone to Infotainment/couldn't figure out Nav. Solution: read manual before you leave.

    F) Does dog fit in back? Answer: "Yes" -- in every single case. Between folding cargo area flat, or putting dog on backseat, the answer is always the same. Know why? Because dogs are smaller than people!


    That covers about 65% of all Edmund's Long-Term Tests.

    It's actually ahead of the driver's seat, and was probably set for Kelly to sit in afterward.

    I have this car. If the driver's seat is so far back that there's no rear passenger legroom, then you're a 6-footer. This is much, much less true for the front passenger, who is swimming in legroom, and can slide the seat way, way forward, even if she were a 6-footer.
