My lifetime average with only 4,500 on the clock is 19.
That's without taking any highway trips over 20 miles.
Not great, but closer to the combined rating.
Oh and that's including last February when we set a record for the number of days in the single digits.
Not exactly the best situation for MPG.

What are the details of your truck? Engine, drivetrain, cab/bed length, etc.

Still makes me wonder what this truck could do with the Silverado's drivetrain in it.

You guys must have a heavy foot. I'm at just over 21 MPG lifetime 12,000 miles (V6, Crew Cab, Long Box, 4X4) and I've seen improvement every month since getting out of winter. Recently averaged 29.6 MPG over a 100 mile span on a recent road trip.
  • are your mpg numbers calculated manually, or are you using the numbers on the dash. as of today my numbers are a little worse then the computer calculates by 1/2 to 1.25 mpg on my individual trip meter. so if those are off, then the lifetime number could be even more off. showing alot better then reality.
