Engine stalls then starts itself back up?

Hi. Driving my 1976 Ford F100 about 45 mph and it felt like the engine cut out. I believe I was coasting downhill without my foot on the gas pedal when it cut out. When I pressed on the gas pedal the engine didn't respond. No room to pull off so I figured I would put it in neutral and try to start in motion, but before I could do anything it started back up again on its own. Bit surprising. It does idle roughly.
