Leaking Trunk

I recently bought a rebuilt 2012 Ford Fiesta sedan and the trunk has been leaking ever since I got it. I sealed everywhere where I thought it was leaking and since I did that, the water has been going over the seal. On the bottom toward the left side to be exact. Before I take it to a mechanic to get it fixed. I would like more opinions on how I can fix it if possible.
